We turn 15 on September 2nd, 2024..
Our story began in 2009, a time when the mobile app revolution was just gaining momentum. Back then, smartphones were still a novelty, and the idea of having an app for everything seemed futuristic.
Those early days were a grind. What started as a solo venture on evenings and weekends quickly blossomed into 14 Oranges’ first project – Ride Buzzer, an app built entirely in-house. This hands-on experience proved invaluable, giving us a deep understanding of the entire app development process.
Our dedication and expertise soon paid off. We landed our first major contract with Arris, a US-based cable equipment provider, to develop a video on-demand app. This success story was followed by another for a home automation company, solidifying our presence in the mobile app space.
The early days of the app industry were full of “get rich quick” schemes, with companies rushing to capitalize on the mobile gold rush. We, however, took a different approach. From the outset, 14 Oranges focused on understanding the core business problems our clients faced, rather than just building apps for the sake of it. This commitment to providing complete solutions that addressed real needs set us apart.
Fast forward to today, we haven’t just grown in size; we’ve also grown in scope. We now offer a comprehensive suite of mobile and web app development services, catering to the diverse needs of our clients.
Beyond building successful businesses, we’re committed to giving back to our community. Through our Work Experience Program, we provide valuable hands-on experience to tech-savvy students, fostering the next generation of innovators.
As we celebrate 15 years, one thing remains constant: our commitment to building strong client relationships and delivering solutions that make a real difference.
We’re excited to see what the next chapter holds for 14 Oranges, and we thank all our clients, partners, and employees who have been part of this incredible journey.
Here’s to many more years of innovation and success!
